Case studies can be written in different ways depending upon the purpose of it. Here are a couple of sites that focus on writing a business case study.

  • This site is provided by the Monash University Student Academic Success department. It provides an outline of what to include based upon whether the case study is an analytical one or a problem-solving one.  It also provides helpful steps in how to approach a case study.
• Writing a Case Study
  • This writing guide is provided the University of Southern California Libraries.  It provides detailed information on how to approach a case study as well as how to structure it.

An analysis of a case study will focus on the elements of the problem, what solutions were proposed, and if there are more recent solutions that could be applied.
