Library Database Alerts

Make Research Come to You by Setting Alerts!

Most databases give you the option to set up automatic email alerts when something new is published. Establish these alerts early on to receive regular information in email or RSS feed.

Some alerts you can set up include:

  • Saved search alerts (alerts for specific keywords – no need need to recreate your search every time)
  • Author alerts (new research publications from outstanding scholars in your field)
  • Journal alerts (get notified when a new issue comes out)

Most databases require you to set up a free user account to enable research alerts.
